SHANGHAI (China): Defending champion NA, DA-YE of Korea believes she in a form that would enable her to defend her title in the USD300,000 Binhai Open, beginning Sept 11, at the links-like Binhai Golf Club.
More than half the field for the Binhai Open is has been filled with Korean professionals, who are out to cash on the richest tournament on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour.
Da-ye is aware of the opposition she's about to face from her compatriots but said that the links-style Binhai layout is very favourable to her, as attest by her win last year.
Sorenstam To Play First Ladies European Tour Event in China

Taihu, Suzhou, China, Thursday 28th August. A massive boost to ladies professional golf in China has come with the announcement by China Golf Association that the country will host its first ever Ladies European Tour event and that Annika Sorenstam, will play. The EUR200,000 Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open 2008 will be held from October 31st to November 2nd at the Suzhou Taihu International Golf Club and will be sanctioned by the China Golf Association, Ladies Asian Golf Tour and the Ladies European Tour.

Since the strong earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale rocked the Sichuan province, particularly Wenchuan, some 92 kilometres away from the main city of Chengdu, China's professional woman golfer ZHANG, LIN has yet to play a stroke of hitting a golf ball, bearing in mind that she has to be in shape for the USD300,000 Binhai Open in September.

GURGAON (INDIA), MARCH 28, 2008:PHATLUM, PORNANONG of Thailand clinched her second title inside 40 days when she won the USD120,000 DLF Women?s Indian Open presented by GENPACT at the DLF Golf & Country Club.
This even will also be long remembered for its holes-in-one as all three rounds saw a hole-in-one achiever. In the opening round SHIH, HUEI-JU hit an ace, in the second round it was CHEN, KUAN-PEI and it was Japan?s HASEGAWA, SATOKO who with a 5-iron aced the 11th hole today.
